Engineering Trainer - PLM, CAD, and Configuration Enablement
Archer, an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, is seeking an Engineering Trainer to enhance the proficiency of engineers and cross-functional teams in utilizing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and configuration management tools. This role is pivotal in ensuring disciplined, compliant, and efficient use of these systems, aligning with Archer's mission to advance sustainable air mobility through innovative aircraft design.
The Engineering Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering structured training programs that cover Teamcenter fundamentals, engineering change workflows, and Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) best practices. Key duties include conducting onboarding sessions for new personnel, providing NX CAD training on modeling techniques, and developing comprehensive training materials such as guides, reference sheets, and video tutorials. Additionally, the trainer will maintain and update documentation sites, serve as the primary resource for PLM and CAD inquiries, and collaborate with various teams to support tool rollouts and process improvements.
Candidates should possess a proactive mindset with a strong desire to teach and facilitate others' success. Proficiency in training users on CAD systems like NX, CATIA, or CREO/Pro-E, and PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or Enovia is essential. A background as a design engineer, CAD specialist, or drafter with experience in creating production-ready CAD is required. Familiarity with MBD and MBE workflows, the ability to model complex components, and a solid understanding of engineering change processes are also necessary. Strong communication skills, experience in creating diverse training materials, and the ability to lead workshops and collaborate across teams are critical for success in this role.
Archer offers a competitive compensation package for this position, with a base salary ranging from $122,880 to $153,600 annually. The actual compensation will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
