Enterprise Account Executive (NYC)
The Enterprise Account Executive at MariaDB is responsible for driving sales growth by engaging with both existing and new customers across various segments. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle, from initial contact through to the adoption of MariaDB's services, with the goal of consistently meeting and exceeding sales quotas. The position is based remotely in the New York or New Jersey area, offering flexibility while focusing on clients within this region.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic sales plans aligned with MariaDB's objectives, maintaining a robust pipeline of business opportunities, and effectively managing the sales process to close deals. The role requires close collaboration with prospects, partners, and key customers to understand their technical requirements and certifications, ensuring that the solutions provided meet their specific needs. Additionally, the Enterprise Account Executive is expected to prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management, providing insights into quarterly strategies and performance.
Candidates should possess a minimum of seven years of experience in database, data management, Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS), or cloud sales. A proven track record in managing large enterprise opportunities and closing transactional business is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in selling enterprise cloud database solutions and open-source software. Strong interpersonal communication skills, a proactive and optimistic attitude, and the ability to effectively communicate the business value of complex enterprise solutions are also important. Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesloft, Zoom, Marketo, and Zoominfo is advantageous.
MariaDB offers a competitive compensation package, with an anticipated U.S. base salary range of $110,000 to $150,000 annually, plus commissions.
