Enterprise Architect Director
The Enterprise Architect Director at Celonis is a senior leadership role responsible for growing and leading a team of Enterprise Architects. This position requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise, people management experience, and executive presence. The director will act as an executive sponsor, confidently presenting to customer C-level executives and helping the team translate strategic goals into actionable technical plans.
Key responsibilities include hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of Enterprise Architects who define the overall architecture, data, and cloud strategy for Celonis's largest client accounts. The director will engage in executive-level presentations during pre-sales and post-sales phases, aligning customer strategic objectives with Celonis's technical strategy. Additionally, the role involves driving strategic innovation by guiding the team to design architectures that leverage emergent technologies like Agentic AI, and ensuring cross-functional alignment between product and engineering teams within Celonis and client teams.
The ideal candidate will have over 20 years of relevant experience, including a proven track record of managing Enterprise Architects or technical teams at a top consulting firm or software vendor. They should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a history of presenting to C-level executives. A strong background in Data Architecture, system integrations, data operations, and proficiency in data-related languages such as SQL and Python is essential. An MSc degree in Computer Science or an equivalent in an Information Technology-related field is required.
Celonis offers a competitive base salary range of $195,000 to $265,000 USD for this role, based on a full-time schedule in New York. The total compensation package includes base salary, bonus/commission, equity, and benefits such as health, dental, life insurance, 401k, and paid time off. Please note that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including the applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.
