Enterprise Data Architect
Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 46 offices in the United States, is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to join their Data Services Team. This role is pivotal in designing and governing the firm's data architecture to ensure it is reliable, secure, and scalable, aligning with the firm's strategic objectives.
The Enterprise Data Architect will oversee the development of comprehensive data models and integration patterns, establish data standards and architectural patterns, and evaluate data technologies to support the firm's data initiatives. Responsibilities include ensuring interoperability across applications and analytics platforms, collaborating with engineering teams to implement scalable data models and pipelines, and partnering with data governance to define data quality frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Candidates should possess a strong background in implementing data architecture strategies that align with business goals, expertise in data governance and security frameworks, and proficiency in system design, microservices, SQL, APIs, and cloud-based architectures such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. A comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and processes, experience with modern programming languages, and familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines are also essential. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, along with 5-10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics platforms, is required.
