Enterprise Seller Onboarding (ESO) Technical Project Manager
The Enterprise Seller Onboarding (ESO) Technical Project Manager at Block is responsible for leading the technical onboarding and activation of new enterprise and strategic merchants. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement complex Square deployments, ensuring a seamless and high-quality onboarding experience. The ESO team partners directly with Square’s largest and most complex sellers to help them fully realize the value of Square’s products and services.
Key responsibilities include engaging with sellers pre-sale to support discovery, scoping, planning, and solution validation. The Technical Project Manager will advise on and document Square’s first-party product capabilities, manage multiple complex onboarding projects concurrently, and build strong cross-functional partnerships with teams such as Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Engineering. Additionally, the role involves evaluating third-party partner integrations for compatibility with Square's platform and proactively identifying and managing risks throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a minimum of 4 years in project management or onboarding. Experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and SDK integrations is essential, along with the ability to understand system architectures and third-party integrations. The candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and possess working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
