Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist at Voyager Technologies, Inc. is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving programs across all EHS disciplines, including occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, process safety, and emergency response. This role reports to the Safety and Compliance Manager and is initially based in Penrose, CO, with a planned transition to Pueblo, CO.
Key responsibilities include managing EHS programs through audits and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as OSHA, ATF explosives, DOT, PHMSA, and DoD Contractor Safety Manual 4145.26. The specialist will also conduct risk and hazard assessments, support environmental compliance programs, and maintain emergency response readiness, coordinating with external agencies and participating as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in EHS with 2 years of experience, a Master's degree in EHS with 1 year of experience, or a High School Diploma with 5 or more years of progressive experience in EHS roles. Demonstrated experience across multiple EHS disciplines, strong knowledge of relevant regulations, and the ability to influence safety performance are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in chemical, space, or defense manufacturing and relevant EHS certifications.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
