The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Training Specialist at Voyager Technologies, Inc. is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive safety and compliance programs across manufacturing and laboratory environments. This role involves directly executing field-based EHS functions, including hazard identification, regulatory compliance, and emergency response. The position reports to the Safety and Compliance Manager and is based onsite in Penrose, CO, with a planned transition to Pueblo, CO.

Key responsibilities include designing and managing EHS training programs aligned with OSHA, ATF, DOT, and DoD regulations. The specialist will lead instructor-led and field-based training sessions, ranging from new hire onboarding to high-hazard explosives safety, while coaching personnel at all levels to reinforce a proactive safety culture. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a consistent presence in operational areas to evaluate training effectiveness, identify performance gaps, and manage documentation required for regulatory audits. The specialist will also conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), support incident investigations, and respond to emergency or hazardous material incidents.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in EHS with 2 years of experience, a Master's degree in EHS with 1 year of experience, or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 or more years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health & Safety training roles. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs in an industrial environment is essential, along with strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT HazMat, ATF explosives, and environmental regulations. The ability to work effectively in both classroom and field environments is also required.

Preferred qualifications include experience in chemical, space, or defense manufacturing. Successful candidates will have a background in delivering high-hazard operational and emergency response training, complemented by experience supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives.
