Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team in McHenry, Mississippi. This role is integral to ensuring our facility and employees comply with all applicable state and environmental standards. The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for assisting in all environmental permitting and testing efforts. This includes coordinating with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies such as the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Key duties involve developing, managing, and updating air quality permits, conducting emissions calculations and reporting, and ensuring compliance with the Clean Air Act and other relevant regulations. Additionally, the role encompasses overseeing hazardous waste permitting, managing waste disposal processes, and developing environmental safety policies and training programs.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in environmental management, particularly focusing on air and hazardous waste permitting. Expertise in federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including the Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), is essential. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft applications. Due to the nature of our work, applicants must be U.S. Persons to access export-controlled information or facilities.

Preferred qualifications include experience working at a Process Safety Management (PSM) or Risk Management Program (RMP) regulated facility, experience in aerospace or energetics manufacturing environments, and familiarity with EPA, OSHA, DEQ, and ISO 14001 and/or 45001 standards. Knowledge of pollution control technologies and sustainability practices, as well as professional certifications such as Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), or Professional Engineer (PE), are advantageous.

The salary range for this position is $99,000 to $131,000 annually, with actual offers depending on factors such as work experience, education, and critical skills. Anduril offers highly competitive equity grants as part of the total compensation package.
