Estimator

The Estimator role at Twenty Twenty Consulting Ltd involves joining a growing structural steel stockholder in North Yorkshire. The company is experiencing significant growth and seeks a proactive, self-motivated individual to join their busy commercial department as a Steel Estimator based in Harrogate.

In this position, the Estimator will handle incoming inquiries from builders, engineers, and architects, measure and qualify materials from engineers' and architects' drawings, and prepare cost estimates within strict time frames, primarily for structural steel and architectural structures. The role also includes preparing detailed quotations and presentation documents, maintaining and improving estimating techniques and processes, and ensuring prompt and professional handling of customer inquiries through to the delivery of steel on-site.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience as an estimator in structural steel work, architectural metalwork, or the building trade. Strong mathematical and analytical skills, attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in computer processing and spreadsheet programs are essential.

The compensation package includes a negotiable salary, approximately £35,000 - £40,000, 28 days of holiday rising with length of service, a pension scheme, and progression opportunities. The working hours are Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm, and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm.
