Facility Engineer
Legend Biotech is seeking a Facility Engineer to join our Technical Operations team in Raritan, New Jersey. As a global biotechnology company, we are dedicated to developing advanced cell therapies to treat life-threatening diseases. This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing our state-of-the-art cell therapy manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and supporting both clinical and commercial production.
The Facility Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support, design, and implementation for mechanical systems and equipment within the facility. Key duties include overseeing construction and repair programs, serving as a subject matter expert on engineering design projects, and ensuring that all equipment operates within validated and qualified states. The role also involves analyzing complex facility issues, developing robust solutions, and supporting continuous improvement activities such as preventive maintenance optimization and risk-based asset management programs.
Candidates should possess a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in chemical, mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a facility engineer or in an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience in cGMP cleanroom manufacturing under aseptic conditions is highly desirable. Proficiency with HVAC and building management systems, as well as familiarity with SAP and MS Office, is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
