Federal Affairs Lead
Archer is seeking a Federal Affairs Lead to enhance its engagement with federal agencies, Congress, and industry stakeholders, aiming to shape the regulatory and policy environment for advanced air mobility (AAM). This role is pivotal in advancing Archer's mission to revolutionize urban air transportation through electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The Federal Affairs Lead will develop and execute strategies to promote policies favorable to the AAM industry, build and maintain relationships with key Congressional offices, federal agencies, and industry associations, monitor and analyze policy and regulatory developments, represent Archer at relevant events and conferences, and create compelling presentations and advocacy materials for policymakers and regulators.
Candidates should possess at least 3 years of experience in policy, regulatory, or government affairs, preferably with a background in public policy or political science. Familiarity with federal transportation, aerospace, or emerging technology policy is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and a proven track record in building relationships with government officials and stakeholders are required. Exposure to AAM or aviation concepts is advantageous.
