As a Field Application Engineer for the Korea Market at Applied Intuition, you will act as the technical liaison between our Silicon Valley headquarters and one of the world's most advanced industrial regions. This pivotal role is tailored for engineers who seek to combine deep technical expertise with significant business impact, particularly in large, strategic engagements. You will be the authoritative technical presence, leading discovery processes and swiftly mastering the automotive autonomy solutions we offer. This position offers a clear progression path to the role of Chief Engineer.

Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with potential customers, primarily identified by our Korea-based Account Managers or through your own insights into the ecosystem. You will conduct customer discovery sessions to comprehend their requirements and assess how Applied Intuition's solutions can meet their needs. Additionally, you will organize and lead customer workshops and tailored demonstrations to effectively communicate our offerings. Collaborating closely with our Product and Engineering teams, you will develop customized solutions for existing products or contribute to the creation of new products for novel concepts. You will also work with customers to refine technical scopes and business models, guiding proposals through their approval processes. Furthermore, you will strategize and forecast revenue for these specific solutions across automotive and related sectors.

The ideal candidate will possess 3 to 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with expertise in relevant domains to advise customers on best practices. A proven track record of coordinating with various stakeholders to execute complex projects is essential. Strong interest and capability in customer engagement are crucial, along with excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Experience with automotive software technologies is required, and the ability to travel internationally approximately every 4 to 6 weeks is necessary.

Preferred qualifications include experience working on a product at a startup from Series A to IPO, and professional fluency in Korean (both written and spoken) to support customers and partners in the Korea market.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $150,000 to $230,000 annually, along with equity options and comprehensive benefits.
