The Field CTO at Celonis serves as a strategic technical advisor to C-level executives, translating complex business transformations into scalable technical strategies. This role is pivotal in driving innovation by championing Process Intelligence, Agentic AI, and Enterprise Modernization, ensuring that Celonis' technology aligns with the evolving needs of the global market. The Field CTO operates within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-impact solutions to the company's most strategic prospects and customers.

Key responsibilities include serving as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, aligning their long-term strategic goals with Celonis' technical vision. The Field CTO leads the overarching data, cloud, and innovation strategy for large global accounts, utilizing methodologies like Capability Mapping to identify high-value opportunities. Additionally, the role involves architecting innovative solutions using emergent technologies such as Agentic AI to address complex enterprise challenges, partnering with Sales and Value Engineering to drive revenue through new customer acquisition and strategic up-selling, and acting as a critical feedback loop between Product & Engineering teams and the market to ensure customer needs shape future offerings.

The ideal candidate possesses 15 to 20 years of relevant experience, ideally having served as a CTO at a consulting firm, as Field CTO at a software vendor, or as Director/VP of Enterprise Architecture within a major corporation. A proven track record of presenting complex technical visions to C-suite stakeholders in a way that emphasizes business value is essential. Deep experience in Enterprise Modernization, EA Methodologies, and a robust understanding of Agentic AI are required. The candidate should demonstrate technical versatility, with the ability to pivot from high-level architecture diagrams to hands-on demonstrations, and have an excellent background in Data Architecture, API ecosystems, and cloud-native SaaS solutions like Salesforce and ServiceNow. Strong knowledge of at least one ERP system such as SAP or Oracle, or strong domain expertise in highly regulated industries like Financial Services, is also necessary. A Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent IT-related field is required.
