Financial Analyst II
The Financial Analyst II position at Rocket Lab Corporation involves supporting the company's financial reporting, strategic projects, revenue and margin analysis, and other ad-hoc financial reporting tasks. This role requires critical thinking, the ability to analyze large data sets, and effective communication of business issues and opportunities. The Financial Analyst will report to the FP&A Manager and collaborate closely with the CFO, Corporate Controller, and various team members across the organization.
Key responsibilities include supporting budgeting and strategic planning activities, developing scalable and streamlined global processes, providing timely and accurate financial information to aid decision-making, and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reductions. The role also involves maintaining weekly and monthly financial reporting, planning, and KPIs, evaluating project expenditures, supporting sales and marketing with customer proposals and pricing, and analyzing monthly spend variances at the cost center level.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in financial analysis within a corporate environment. Familiarity with financial analysis in a corporate setting is essential. Experience in a manufacturing environment within the aerospace and defense industry is preferred.
