Financial Operations Analyst - Azure
Kaseya is seeking a Financial Operations Analyst to oversee cost efficiency and financial accountability within its Azure environment. This role emphasizes the practical execution of savings and governance strategies, aiming to bring clarity to Azure expenditures, enforce disciplined use of reservations and benefits, and prevent the recurrence of waste. Budgets and forecasts are utilized as tools to guide behavior, rather than as ends in themselves.
Key responsibilities include building a comprehensive Azure cost baseline segmented by subscription, application, and owner, and identifying structural cost drivers and recurring inefficiencies. The analyst will lead Azure Reservation and Savings Plan strategies, including Hybrid Benefit usage, and drive the cleanup of idle virtual machines, disks, snapshots, and excessive log or telemetry costs. Additionally, the role involves improving tagging and subscription hygiene, supporting management group and policy enforcement, and establishing lightweight guardrails to prevent waste without hindering team productivity. The analyst will also produce rolling forecasts and budget views tied to actual usage patterns and track key performance indicators such as coverage, utilization, waste reduction, and realized savings. Collaboration with platform and product teams is essential to align cost decisions with technical realities.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in FinOps or Azure cost management roles, with strong knowledge of Azure Cost Management, subscriptions, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and tagging. Proven experience in implementing Azure Reservations and Savings Plans is required, along with an analytical mindset and the confidence to challenge assumptions. Preferred qualifications include Azure certifications such as AZ-104 and AZ-305, experience with Azure Policy for cost governance, and proficiency in analytical tools like SQL or Power BI.
