Anduril Industries is seeking a highly motivated Flight Test Engineer to support the developmental flight testing of our innovative Roadrunner platform. This role involves close collaboration with program leadership and cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, execute, and report on all aspects of the flight test program. The Test Engineering team at Anduril works across a diverse range of products, including Lattice, Ghost UAS, Sentry Tower, and other platforms, conducting full system-level development testing and new aircraft development.

As a Test and Evaluation (T&E) engineer, you will be responsible for test planning, execution, and reporting. Your duties will encompass system-level evaluation of hardware and software, focusing on executing ground and flight tests, enhancing and developing processes, and engaging in technical test assessments. You will collaborate with engineering teams to interpret test data, identify system behaviors, and drive product enhancements and process improvements. Additionally, you will manage the use of test ranges and coordinate with external agencies to facilitate testing activities, ensuring all operations are conducted safely and in accordance with established procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution, along with 5+ years of flight test engineering experience. A strong understanding of fundamental flight test processes and principles is essential, as is previous expertise and working knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules and regulations. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts, efficiently organize and schedule work phases, and independently troubleshoot field-related problems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance is also necessary.

Preferred qualifications include experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD), experience as a test conductor or test director, and possession of an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate. Familiarity with Linux systems and programming languages such as Matlab and Python is also advantageous.

Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $113,000 to $149,000 USD for this role, along with highly competitive equity grants.
