Forward-Deployed Data Scientist
Braze is seeking a Forward-Deployed Data Scientist to join our team in New York City. This role involves collaborating with customer Analytics and Business Intelligence teams, as well as internal Braze colleagues, to implement and configure machine learning models that enhance our customer engagement platform. The position is integral to the success of BrazeAI, our suite of AI-driven solutions designed to optimize customer interactions.
Key responsibilities include defining use cases, integrating data, setting up data pipelines, and configuring machine learning models tailored to client needs. The role also involves extending product capabilities by improving architecture and developing reusable data pipelines, APIs, and components. Additionally, the Data Scientist will work closely with the reinforcement learning pipeline development team to refine and advance our self-learning algorithms.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's or PhD preferred. A minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer working with large-scale data and production environments is required. Proficiency in Python (including Pandas) and core machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, CatBoost, and XGBoost is essential. Strong skills in SQL for querying and manipulating datasets, as well as experience in machine learning pipelines and model deployment, are also necessary.
The position offers a competitive salary range between $124,200 and $148,500 per year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $138,000 and $165,000 per year, including bonus or commission.
