Freelance Digital Court Reporter

Prevail Legal, a well-funded startup based in San Francisco, is seeking a Freelance Digital Court Reporter to join our dynamic team. Our innovative platform integrates secure video conferencing with intuitive tools designed for remote, in-person, and hybrid legal proceedings. This role is primarily remote but may require attendance at in-person proceedings in Columbus, Ohio, reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager.

As a Freelance Digital Court Reporter, you will assist with live stenographic depositions and sessions. Your responsibilities will include recording proceedings on the Prevail platform, administering oaths to witnesses, marking and maintaining exhibits, monitoring and managing sessions, and providing technical and administrative support as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, along with a current Notary License for the state of Ohio. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is previous experience with video conferencing and database platforms. Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications is required. Candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of Ohio's legal processes and general national legal knowledge. A webcam, headset, and computer are also necessary for this role.

This position offers an hourly pay range of $20 to $25, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
