Prevail Legal, a well-funded startup founded in San Francisco, is seeking a Freelance Digital Court Reporter to join their team. The company specializes in modernizing legal proceedings through a platform that integrates secure video conferencing with intuitive tools for remote, in-person, and hybrid sessions. This role is primarily remote but may require attendance at in-person proceedings in Phoenix, Arizona, and reports to the Senior Operations Manager.

The Digital Court Reporter will assist with live stenographic depositions and sessions using the Prevail platform. Key responsibilities include recording proceedings, swearing in witnesses, marking and maintaining exhibits, monitoring and managing sessions, and providing technical and administrative support as needed.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, along with a current Notary License for the state of Arizona. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is previous experience with video conferencing and database platforms. Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications is required. Applicants should have a comprehensive understanding of the legal process and requirements specific to Arizona, as well as basic national knowledge. A webcam, headset, and computer are also necessary for this role.

The compensation for this hourly position ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Prevail Legal reserves the right to adjust this job description to meet the organization's business needs.
