Fuel Performance Engineer
The Fuel Performance Engineer at Oklo is responsible for conducting comprehensive analyses and verification of current and future fuel designs for the company's Aurora powerhouses. This role involves performing engineering analyses, modeling and simulation, and thorough documentation, while collaborating closely with reactor design, fuel fabrication, and licensing teams.
Key responsibilities include analyzing the performance of existing and innovative fuel designs under various operating and off-normal conditions, developing efficient analysis methodologies, verifying and validating modeling tools, supporting experimental fuel campaigns, providing technical feedback to design teams, and producing detailed technical reports.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering with at least three years of experience, proficiency in multi-physics system performance analyses, familiarity with finite element simulation software such as Ansys or Abaqus, experience in material analysis, and knowledge of object-oriented programming languages like Python or C++.
