Full Stack Software Engineer
BetterHelp is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our mission-driven team dedicated to making mental health care more accessible. As the world's largest online therapy service, we provide affordable and convenient therapy globally, connecting millions with licensed therapists. In this role, you'll collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including clinicians, engineers, and business leaders, all committed to expanding access to therapy.
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing end-to-end features, owning them from inception to production and beyond. Your day-to-day tasks will include writing clean, secure, and scalable code, integrating with both internal and external APIs, and optimizing SQL queries and database schemas. You'll also be involved in creating complex backend algorithms, profiling and optimizing both new and legacy code, and ensuring cross-device and cross-platform compatibility.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in web development, with a strong understanding of web development concepts and principles. Proficiency in SQL, including designing relational database schemas and writing complex queries, is essential. Experience with full-stack projects, the ability to design and launch web applications from start to finish, and a proactive, get-things-done attitude are highly valued. Familiarity with web and SQL security best practices and experience using Git in a team environment are also important.
BetterHelp offers a competitive base salary ranging from $110,000 to $160,000, along with a performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
