Full-Stack Software Engineer (C# .NET & Angular)
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer at ROLLER, you will be an integral part of our Product & Tech Team, contributing to the development and maintenance of our applications and services. Utilizing technologies such as C#, Angular, TypeScript, and T-SQL, you will also leverage AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SES, and SQS. This role is based in Sydney, Australia, with a hybrid work model that includes three days per week in our Sydney CBD office and flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable, production-grade software across the stack. You will lead integration-heavy initiatives involving APIs, third-party providers, and complex workflows, ensuring robust failure models and handling edge cases effectively. Additionally, you will own the technical quality end-to-end, encompassing testing strategies, observability, performance, reliability, rollout safety, and incident response for your areas.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building and shipping full-stack software within a modern SaaS environment. Proficiency in C#.NET for web APIs and designing/consuming APIs in distributed systems is essential. Hands-on experience using AI tools in software development is highly valued. Exposure to integration work involving third-party systems, payment workflows, compliance or regulatory domains, or similarly complex ecosystems is beneficial. Solid front-end fundamentals with Angular/TypeScript, comfort with SQL and data modeling, and a strong engineering craft focusing on clean design, testing, debugging, security, and reliability are also required. A curious, collaborative nature and comfort working with teammates across time zones are important attributes.
