General Liability Associate Attorney

Wilson Elser's Madison, NJ office is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join their team of exceptional professionals. This role offers the opportunity to represent sophisticated clients facing complex legal challenges within a collaborative environment. The firm, established in 1978, is a leading defense litigation law firm with over 1,300 attorneys across 43 offices in the United States.

The Associate Attorney will independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution. Responsibilities include working closely with other attorneys and partners on legal projects, regularly handling court appearances and depositions, and communicating with clients to provide status reports.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in New Jersey. A minimum of two years of experience in insurance defense litigation, particularly in general liability or professional liability, is required. Preferred qualifications include experience with motion practice, report writing, discovery, and depositions. Superior written and oral communication skills are essential.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $175,000, along with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
