The role also involves spearheading the adoption of WPP's Open Media Studio and Open Intelligence platforms within TCCC, acting as a trusted advisor to both global and local stakeholders, and identifying how data, technology, and AI can address specific business challenges. Additionally, the General Manager will lead data-driven pitches for new business opportunities and adapt successful audience strategies into scalable solutions for other clients.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in data, technology, or AI consulting roles, preferably within an agency, consulting, or marketing technology environment. A deep understanding of marketing principles such as customer lifecycle, personalization, and segmentation is essential, along with a strong grasp of data architecture, data modeling, and identity resolution tailored to the Chinese market. Proficiency in navigating the unique Chinese data ecosystem, including walled gardens and local platforms, is required. Excellent communication skills are necessary to translate complex data topics for non-technical stakeholders, and the ability to devise innovative solutions with imperfect data or resources is crucial. Experience in leading and mentoring teams of data technology experts is also important.
