Rocket Lab is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer II, Mechanical, to join our team at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of critical test facilities supporting the Archimedes rocket engine and the Neutron launch vehicles. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with Engine Propulsion and Test Operations teams to develop and implement test stand designs that meet rigorous testing requirements.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and integrating essential test systems to support various test objectives and requirements. You will work alongside a team of technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve facility and test operation issues. Additionally, you will develop maintenance protocols for both new and existing facility infrastructure and collaborate with engine and vehicle design teams to prepare and execute tests on key hardware components.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related technical discipline, along with at least two years of experience in rocket engine test stand or launch complex design and construction. Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter is essential, as is familiarity with ASME B31.1 standards. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment are also required.
