Group Legal Director (f/m/d)

The Group Legal Director at Awin is responsible for overseeing all legal matters, excluding employment law, across the company and its subsidiaries. This role involves providing strategic legal advice to the Executive Board and management team, ensuring that business operations align with legal and regulatory requirements. The position is based at Awin's headquarters in Berlin and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key responsibilities include advising on corporate, litigation, and transactional matters, particularly in areas such as commercial, corporate, internet, data privacy, competition, trademark, civil, and M&A law. The Group Legal Director will draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including NDAs, letters of intent, commercial agreements, and data privacy agreements. Additionally, the role involves managing internal and external legal projects, developing corporate legal policies and procedures, and leading corporate governance, compliance, and risk assessment initiatives.

Candidates should possess a minimum of seven years of professional experience as a Legal Counsel, preferably in an international company and in a leadership role. A fully authorized German lawyer (Volljurist) qualification is highly desirable, though equivalent qualifications from other jurisdictions are acceptable. Essential skills include strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset. Proficiency in English and outstanding legal and business judgment are also required.
