Hardware Integration Engineer
As a Hardware Integration Engineer at Applied Intuition, you will play a pivotal role in the development and deployment of autonomous vehicle systems. This position involves close collaboration with hardware engineers, engineering technicians, operators, and safety drivers to ensure seamless integration and functionality of our self-driving technology. Applied Intuition is a leading company in the autonomous vehicle industry, providing cutting-edge solutions to accelerate the adoption of safe and intelligent machines worldwide.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading vehicle integration efforts, including designing, prototyping, and installing proof-of-concept systems and sensors under evaluation. You will oversee the build-out phase through delivery to the operations team, ensuring final bring-up and shakedown testing are completed successfully. Additionally, you will design and build test benches to validate mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software systems, as well as develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to vehicle integration.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related field, along with at least one year of technical experience in mechanical, electrical, computer, automotive, or robotics industries. Proficiency in working with autonomous vehicle components such as LiDARs, radars, and cameras is essential. Experience with low-volume manufacturing in automotive or robotics industries, the ability to read and understand electrical schematics and datasheets, and familiarity with CAD (preferably SolidWorks) are also required. Additional skills in CNC machining, metalworking, welding, and automotive repair and maintenance are highly desirable.
Applied Intuition offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $118,000 to $201,000 annually, equity options, and comprehensive benefits.
