Head of Artificial Intelligence

Modern Health is seeking a visionary Head of Artificial Intelligence to lead the integration of AI across its products and organization. This role involves defining and executing a strategic roadmap to embed AI into the core product experience, enhancing differentiation and customer value. The position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer and offers the opportunity to shape the future of mental health solutions through innovative AI applications.

Key responsibilities include partnering with Product and Design teams to identify high-impact opportunities where AI can improve user outcomes, leading the delivery of AI initiatives from concept through production, and architecting scalable AI solutions. The role also involves establishing principles to ensure AI capabilities are trustworthy and aligned with company values, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on execution, governance, and risk management.

The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of bringing AI-enabled capabilities into production at scale. A strong understanding of modern applied AI and its integration into real-world systems is essential. Experience in evaluating build vs. buy decisions, establishing governance practices for emerging technologies, and deploying solutions in regulated environments is highly desirable.
