Head of Engineering

LEVL Telematics, a leader in data-driven fleet management solutions, is seeking a Head of Engineering to spearhead the development of an AI-first platform aimed at transforming customer outcomes and internal operations. This pivotal role involves direct collaboration with the CEO to design, build, and scale an AI-powered Co-Pilot for fleet customers, while embedding AI capabilities across various business functions.

The Head of Engineering will lead the end-to-end development of LEVL’s AI Co-Pilot product, from initial MVP to a scalable, production-ready solution. Responsibilities include designing and implementing a secure, multi-tenant architecture, integrating multiple data sources into a unified platform, and rapidly prototyping with a focus on commercial outcomes. Additionally, the role entails building and integrating AI-driven workflows across the business, mentoring internal team members, and contributing to the formation of a future engineering team.

Candidates must have experience building and shipping AI-powered products, hands-on expertise with large language models (LLMs), and the ability to swiftly transition from concept to MVP in fast-paced environments. A strong ownership mindset, commercial awareness, and experience integrating AI into business processes are essential. Familiarity with tools such as OpenAI and Anthropic/Claude is also required.

The position offers a competitive salary with a performance-based bonus. The role is based in Coventry, England, with a hybrid working arrangement.
