Head of Machine Learning, India
The Head of Machine Learning, India, will lead and expand EarnIn's machine learning initiatives within the Bengaluru office. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of ML systems that drive business decisions and enhance customer experiences. The successful candidate will inherit a high-performing team with the opportunity to further grow and shape the organization's ML capabilities.
Key responsibilities include building, managing, and mentoring a team of machine learning engineers, fostering collaboration, and supporting career development. The role involves owning the delivery and impact of ML initiatives, leading the design and optimization of ML-based systems, and driving a culture of scientific and engineering rigor. Collaboration with data engineering, product management, and marketing teams is essential to transition ML solutions from conception to reliable production deployment.
Candidates should possess an MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related technical field, with over 7 years of industry experience, including at least 3 years in people management. A strong foundation in core machine learning algorithms, proven experience in deploying production ML systems at scale, and advanced proficiency in Python and SQL are required. Excellent communication skills are necessary to influence and collaborate across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
