The Head of Manufacturing Engineering, Space at Anduril Industries will lead manufacturing engineering efforts across multiple critical space programs. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader with deep technical expertise in advanced aerospace manufacturing and a proven track record of transitioning complex space-qualified hardware from prototype to production. The successful candidate will oversee manufacturing engineering teams and develop robust processes to ensure the successful fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of high-reliability space components and systems.

Key responsibilities include recruiting, mentoring, and leading a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers and integration & test engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The role involves serving as the primary manufacturing engineering lead for assigned space programs, ensuring technical alignment and execution. The individual will oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for complex, high-precision space-qualified hardware, including structures, propulsion, avionics, thermal systems, and optical components. Additionally, the role requires driving the vision and strategy for growing Anduril's space program and identifying new opportunities for innovation.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science, with at least 12 years of experience in space and satellite manufacturing, systems engineering, or design of electromechanical hardware. They should demonstrate the ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments and have experience in unit-level/space vehicle/system integration, assembly, and environmental testing. A background in integration and testing of avionics, optical payloads, solar, propulsion, ADCS, or other space hardware is essential. Proven team leadership skills and personal experience in hardware manufacturing methods are also required.

Anduril Industries offers a competitive salary range of $220,000 to $292,000 USD for this position.
