Industrial Engineer, Warehouse & Manufacturing
Anduril Industries is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join its Supply Chain team in Costa Mesa, California. This role focuses on optimizing warehousing and material flow operations to achieve superior quality, reliability, speed, and asset utilization, aligning with critical customer deployment and internal development timelines. The position requires close collaboration with teams across Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations to design and implement efficient production lines and manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include working across multiple programs from development to full-rate production to scale best-in-class solutions, proactively identifying and resolving production constraints such as inventory processes, line layouts, parts shortages, and staffing issues, and owning metrics and reporting related to production line health and efficiency. The role also involves conducting time studies to ensure operational efficiency, developing processes to optimize work plans across multiple sites, and translating tools and reports into actionable tasks that enhance warehouse operations.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering and have at least three years of experience in a high-rate supply chain or manufacturing environment involving complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies. Proficiency in reading technical documentation, including drawings and CAD data, and understanding various hardware manufacturing processes is essential. The role requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time and relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA, if not already local.
Preferred qualifications include experience with department or factory design and setup, such as value stream mapping, flow lines, continuous flow, one-piece flow, and workstation design. Demonstrated ability to own a value chain from start to finish, measuring each step of the process and creating actionable tasks leading to significant and sustainable business improvements, is highly valued. Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like NetSuite or Oracle, and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles are also advantageous.
The salary range for this position is $113,000 to $149,000 annually, based on factors such as work experience, education, critical skills, and business considerations.
