Information Systems Security Officer
Anduril Industries is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Santa Ana, California. As a defense technology company, Anduril is dedicated to transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The ISSO will play a critical role in shaping classified, closed, or air-gapped environments for deploying Anduril's products and software, ensuring the security and compliance of our systems.
In this role, the ISSO will be responsible for documenting security controls to meet cybersecurity framework requirements, performing iterative security functions to achieve compliance, and applying commercial technology standards in classified environments. The ISSO will collaborate with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), fellow ISSOs, and the Classified Infrastructure team to understand stakeholder needs and provide complex technical solutions that meet contractual obligations. Additionally, the ISSO will tailor NIST 800-53 controls to the network environment and oversee the implementation of continuous monitoring for respective programs.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, and implementing secure systems and networks in accordance with NIST RMF, JSIG, DCSA, and relevant industry standards. They should be proficient in conducting security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and audits, including continuous monitoring, to identify and mitigate threats. The candidate must possess an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance and have experience with industry-standard security tools and compliance resources such as Splunk, DISA STIGs, SCC, and Evaluate-STIG. A DoD-approved 8140 baseline certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CISSP) or a relevant Bachelor's degree is required.
Anduril offers a competitive salary range of $146,000 to $194,000 for this position, along with highly competitive equity grants. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans at little to no cost, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off with a holiday hiatus in December, and caregiver and wellness leave. Additional benefits encompass family planning and parenting support, mental health resources, professional development reimbursement, company-funded commuter benefits, and relocation assistance, depending on role eligibility.
Joining Anduril means becoming part of a team committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. The company fosters a collaborative and innovative culture, offering growth opportunities and the chance to work on projects that have a real-world impact on national security.
