Divergent is seeking an Inspection Technician to join our team in Torrance, California. As a key contributor to our inspection activities, you will support complex measurements, train peers, and uphold high-quality standards within the inspection team. Your role will be crucial in delivering accurate metrology data and inspection reports to ensure parts comply with engineering specifications.

In this position, you will conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to requirements. Utilizing engineering drawings, standard procedures, calibrated manual gages/tools, and various inspection methods, you will perform detailed inspections. Responsibilities also include recording and maintaining accurate data, including inspection results and non-conformance reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, and assisting leadership with various inspection-related tasks. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe metrology lab following 5S principles is also expected.

The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in a quality inspector role within aerospace, automotive, or other relevant production environments. A high school diploma is required, along with proficiency in computer literacy (Windows, Teams, Excel, etc.). Candidates should have the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including knowledge of GD&T, and be capable of lifting parts up to 50 lb and operating scanning arms for extended periods. Strong verbal and written communication skills, a team-oriented mindset with high attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and solve complex problems are essential.
