Internal Audit Manager

May Mobility is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to establish and lead the company's internal audit function. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this role will play a pivotal part in enhancing the organization's control framework and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. May Mobility, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is dedicated to transforming urban transportation through autonomous vehicle technology, aiming to create safer, greener, and more accessible cities.

The Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for conducting corporate risk assessments, developing and implementing internal controls, and defining audit scopes to evaluate control designs and operational effectiveness. This position requires close collaboration with finance, legal, and cross-functional teams to address audit findings and recommend remediation actions. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with external auditors, leading internal control training sessions, and contributing to the strategic vision of the internal audit function.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, along with CPA and/or CIA certifications. A minimum of five years of experience in audit or advisory roles within public accounting firms or senior internal audit positions is required. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, COSO, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and risk and control standards is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced analytical and communication skills, the ability to manage ambiguity, and a proven track record in implementing new controls and processes within an organization.
