Rocket Lab is seeking an Inventory Coordinator II to join our Supply Chain team at our Silver Spring, MD facility. As an end-to-end space company, Rocket Lab delivers responsive launch services, complete spacecraft design and manufacturing, and satellite components, supporting missions ranging from scientific exploration to national security. The Supply Chain team plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and components essential to our rocket and satellite programs.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of inventory management, including receiving, storing, counting, and kitting of both inbound and outbound goods. Key duties involve adhering to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) processes for incoming goods, maintaining accurate and timely delivery of components and production kits, sustaining the supply of Kanban materials to the shop floor, and managing inbound and outbound logistics with strict adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for high-value products. Additionally, you will participate in regular cycle counting programs and ensure that inventory systems accurately reflect stock movements.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and at least one year of experience in inventory management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access, is required, along with knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelor's degree, experience in aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing industries, and familiarity with control and tracking of serial and lot-controlled materials. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a team-oriented mindset are also desirable.
