Voyager Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented, mission-driven IT Compliance Lead to oversee cybersecurity governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management across our space, aerospace, and defense programs. This role ensures the organization can securely handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and ITAR/export-controlled data while maintaining continuous compliance with standards such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2/3, DFARS 252.204-7012, and ITAR/EAR Export Control. The IT Compliance Lead will collaborate with IT, engineering, program management, legal, and contracts teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical, auditable controls that enable mission delivery without hindrance.

Key responsibilities include owning and maintaining the organization's cybersecurity compliance framework, mapping controls to relevant standards, and developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), policies, standards, procedures, and control evidence repositories. The role also involves leading preparations for CMMC assessments, DCMA/DoD/NASA audits, and prime contractor reviews, coordinating evidence collection, tracking remediation plans, conducting internal mock audits, and serving as the primary liaison for assessors and government representatives. Additionally, the IT Compliance Lead will conduct enterprise and system-level risk assessments, maintain risk registers and mitigation plans, perform impact analyses for new technologies and programs, evaluate supplier and subcontractor cybersecurity postures, and support incident reporting obligations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 4–8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, or GRC roles, particularly within regulated or defense contractor environments. Hands-on knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, DFARS 252.204-7012, and ITAR/EAR or export controls is essential. Experience in creating SSPs and POA&Ms, preparing for audits or formal assessments, and possessing strong documentation and evidence management skills are required. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities are crucial. U.S. Person status is required for ITAR eligibility, along with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
