IT Support Engineer
The IT Support Engineer at Twenty Twenty Consulting Ltd will be integral to the IT team, responsible for building, maintaining, and updating the company's IT infrastructure. This role involves supporting staff and deploying desktop computers, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of critical IT systems and services. Key responsibilities include reporting to the IT manager, monitoring installed systems and infrastructure, ensuring automated software updates are applied, creating user accounts for new starters, and removing accounts for leavers. The role also involves purchasing, configuring, and installing desktop hardware and software for new employees, deploying desk phones and mobile devices, assisting with server builds, configurations, and testing, supporting security audits, backup procedures, and redundancy strategies, participating in the design of information and operational support systems, providing first-level IT support for users, and liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Candidates should possess a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems in Windows environments. Desirable skills include experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V, familiarity with IT monitoring systems like syslog, solid scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell or VBScript, and networking knowledge covering OSI network layers and TCP/IP protocols.
The compensation package offers a salary ranging from £24,000 to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
