Key Account Manager
The Key Account Manager at PitchBook Data is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with the company's largest and most strategic clients. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to drive client satisfaction, retention, and growth. The Key Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of enterprise clients, ensuring their business needs are met through the PitchBook platform.
Key responsibilities include achieving quarterly sales and retention goals, identifying opportunities to expand the user base within existing accounts, and conducting client demonstrations to showcase how the PitchBook platform addresses specific client needs. The role also involves collaborating with Account Development Managers, Customer Success Managers, and Account Development Representatives to strategize on account retention and growth opportunities. Additionally, the Key Account Manager is expected to manage the sales pipeline efficiently, oversee the end-to-end sales cycle, and maintain accurate records of client interactions using tools like Salesforce.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in sales or account management, preferably with enterprise accounts. Proven ability to close complex deals and oversee the entire sales process is essential. Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce is required, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills, curiosity about client needs, organizational abilities, and a self-motivated, goal-oriented attitude are also important.
