Lead Airframe Engineer, Omen
The Lead Airframe Engineer, Omen, at Anduril Industries is responsible for taking a technical leadership role within an innovative team tasked with designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge aerospace structures. In this role, you will guide the design and development of composite airframes, overseeing the complete product lifecycle from concept to production. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for providing technical mentorship, leading multidisciplinary design reviews, managing detailed CAD and FEA work, and collaborating closely with manufacturing teams to ensure build and integration standards are met. You will also work with systems engineers and product managers to translate mission requirements into refined air vehicle structures.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background in mechanical or aerospace engineering with significant experience leading the design and development of composite airframes for unmanned aerial vehicles or similar systems. Strong CAD and FEA skills are essential, as is experience with rapid prototyping, flight testing, iterative product development, and volume manufacturing. Prior leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of lightweight materials and modern fabrication techniques are required.
