Lead Autonomy Behavior Engineer
May Mobility is seeking a Lead Autonomy Behavior Engineer to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and deploying autonomous vehicle technology that enhances urban mobility. Our company focuses on creating safer, greener, and more accessible transportation solutions through innovative Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology.
As a Lead Autonomy Behavior Engineer, you will design, implement, and test advanced robotics software in C/C++ to ensure comfortable and safe behavior and control for autonomous vehicles. Your responsibilities will include leading code quality activities, providing technical guidance to support teams, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop software and system requirements. Additionally, you will coordinate and execute on-vehicle tests to validate software performance in real-world scenarios.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a strong mathematical and engineering foundation. A minimum of 7 years of industry experience working on real-world robotic systems is required, including at least two commercial projects at a systems level. Proficiency in C/C++ programming, experience with software development in a Linux environment, and familiarity with standard development tools such as git, valgrind, and gdb are essential.
