Lead Design Engineer

Braze is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on delivering innovative customer engagement solutions. In this role, you will lead the design and development of our core products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to create user-centric experiences that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process, from conceptualization to implementation. Your day-to-day activities will include conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and working alongside product managers and engineers to ensure seamless integration of design elements. You will also mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience and interface design, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite is essential. Experience with front-end development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams are also required.
