Lead Design Engineer

Braze is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on delivering innovative customer engagement solutions. In this role, you will lead the design and development of our core products, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to create user-centric designs that align with our company's mission and objectives.

As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire design process, from conceptualization to implementation. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and working alongside product managers and engineers to ensure seamless integration of design elements. Additionally, you will mentor junior designers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite is essential. A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and experience working in agile development environments are also required. Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
