Lead Inventory Coordinator
The Lead Inventory Coordinator at Rocket Lab's Wallops Island, VA launch complex plays a pivotal role in supporting operations teams to meet daily and weekly production targets. This position ensures the timely receipt and delivery of thousands of components essential for the assembly of Electron and Neutron rockets, maintaining high customer service levels through accurate and efficient inventory management.
Key responsibilities include monitoring open and expedited orders, ensuring throughput key performance indicators are met, and providing daily direction and support to store personnel. The role also involves coordinating kitting resources to achieve delivery in full on time (DIFOT), liaising with production assembly team leads, and maintaining compliance with standard operating procedures to uphold stock accuracy and warehouse organization.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma and at least six years of relevant experience, with proven expertise in managing teams of 3-6 direct reports. Familiarity with international shipping regulations, such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are also required.
