As a Lead Machinist at Anduril Industries, you will oversee all aspects of the machine shop within the Atlanta facility. This role involves managing projects assigned through a ticketing system in a fast-paced environment where new tasks arise daily, often with tight deadlines. Anduril Industries is a defense technology company dedicated to transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology.

Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD models to produce precise, tight-tolerance parts. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC multi-axis mills, CNC lathes, CNC routers, manual mills, and manual lathes. Additionally, you will design and implement various work-holding and fixture methods, troubleshoot issues during the machining process, create G-code using CAM software, and oversee the entire machine shop's organization, maintenance, cleanliness, and work prioritization.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience as a machinist, proficiency with CAD software such as Solidworks or Siemens NX, and experience with CAM software for producing CNC machine G-code. Familiarity with 3-axis milling machines and lathes, Trak controls or similar systems, and machining various metals and plastics is essential.
