Lead Mailroom Associate
The Lead Mailroom Associate at SPS-North America is responsible for overseeing daily mailroom and shipping/receiving operations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of inbound and outbound materials. This role involves providing operational leadership, supporting client services, and maintaining a well-organized Business Service Center that reflects the company's commitment to excellence.
Key responsibilities include processing incoming mail and packages by sorting and logging items into chain-of-custody software, managing outgoing mail and shipping transactions, operating mailroom equipment such as postage meters and photocopiers, and validating packing slips to ensure accuracy. The associate also follows established shipping, receiving, and distribution procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of relevant work experience and one year in a lead or supervisory role. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a basic understanding of shipping and receiving procedures are essential. The ability to work independently and follow operational instructions is also required.
