This team is responsible for rapidly developing and producing advanced defense hardware, focusing on the entire manufacturing value chain, including design for manufacturability, tool design, process optimization, vendor interactions, quality planning, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of solving technical challenges with innovative solutions in fast-paced, resource-constrained environments.

In this role, the Lead Manufacturing Engineer will build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Manufacturing Engineers specializing in mechanical, electrical, system integration, and environmental testing. Key responsibilities include driving operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with Product Quality Engineering to address production issues, defining effective workflows with cross-functional teams, and working closely with Design Engineering to ensure smooth new product introductions. The engineer will also own portions of the manufacturing value chain for specific products, develop process flows for complex assemblies, and contribute to hardware design aspects such as interconnects and board fabrication.

Candidates should possess a degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, or a hard science, along with at least 8 years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware. Essential qualifications include demonstrated leadership skills, a commitment to quality and attention to detail, a strong interest in manufacturing, and proficiency in ERP, CAD, PLM, and FRACAS software. Personal experience in hardware manufacturing methods like machining, fabrication, soldering, or assembly is also required. Due to access to export-controlled information, applicants must be U.S. Persons.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $146,000 to $194,000 USD, with actual compensation dependent on factors such as experience, education, and critical skills. Anduril provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision plans at little to no cost, income protection through life and disability insurance, generous time-off policies, family planning and parenting support, mental health resources, professional development reimbursement, commuter benefits, and relocation assistance. Retirement savings plans are also available, with options varying by region.
