Lead ML Engineer - Lane & Route Networking Mapping
May Mobility is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead the development of lane and route network mapping systems integral to our autonomous vehicle technology. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-performance mapping solutions that seamlessly integrate with our broader autonomy system. As a key player in our innovative environment, you will contribute to transforming urban mobility through cutting-edge autonomous technology.
In this position, you will be responsible for architecting and deploying advanced neural networks, including vectorized mapping networks and multi-camera BEV transformers, to extract and model lane and route networks for both offline and online mapping. Your day-to-day tasks will encompass leading major feature developments from inception to deployment, conducting rigorous code reviews, and establishing robust metrics for evaluating mapping accuracy and consistency across diverse operational domains.
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, coupled with over seven years of industry experience in developing and deploying machine learning models for mapping or computer vision at scale. Expertise in areas such as vectorized mapping networks, multimodal sensor fusion, and computer vision tasks like object detection and 3D reconstruction is essential. Proficiency in programming languages like Python and C++, along with experience in modular software design and Linux-based development, is also required.
