Archer is seeking a Lead Quality NDT Level II Inspector/Specialist to join our team in San Jose, California. As a pioneering aerospace company, Archer is dedicated to developing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft aimed at revolutionizing urban air mobility. This role is integral to ensuring our aircraft meet the highest safety and quality standards.

In this position, you will be responsible for developing and executing inspection processes that align with airline-level safety standards for advanced aircraft manufacturing. Key duties include creating detailed inspection plans from engineering drawings, with a focus on ultrasonic testing (UT) of composite materials, and developing NDT procedures for ultrasonic and eddy current inspections to ensure structural integrity. Additionally, you will perform composite bond line inspections using ultrasonic methodologies, electromagnetic testing (ET), and liquid penetrant inspection (PT) of metallic components.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or Material Science Engineering. A minimum of 48 months of experience with aerospace structures, aircraft systems, First Article Inspection, Quality Systems, and Non-Destructive Evaluation is required. Proficiency in NAS 410/SNT-TC-1A NDT Level II in UT, ET, and PT is essential. The role also requires 10% domestic travel.
