Archer, an innovative aerospace company based in San Jose, California, is seeking a Lead Supply Chain Commercial Manager to join its dynamic team. Archer is dedicated to advancing sustainable air mobility by designing and manufacturing all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft capable of carrying four passengers with minimal noise. This role is integral to Archer's mission of revolutionizing urban transportation through cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices.
In this position, the Lead Supply Chain Commercial Manager will oversee the supplier selection and negotiation processes, ensuring successful partnerships with top-tier suppliers. Key responsibilities include driving the RFx and supplier selection process with key stakeholders, negotiating cost-effective agreements, finalizing contracts to support production transitions, and managing business relationships to foster productive partnerships both internally and externally. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional leaders to continuously improve policies and procedures, enhancing organizational value and efficiency. The position requires approximately 20% travel.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Expertise in cost negotiation within the automotive or aerospace industries is essential, along with in-depth knowledge of high-volume supply contracts. The candidate should thrive in fast-paced, evolving, and highly regulated environments, demonstrating strong executive communication and negotiation skills. The ability to make sound decisions amidst ambiguity, coupled with a keen attention to detail and solid analytical and computer skills, is crucial. Preferred qualifications include training in presentation and communication skills, as well as an APICS Certification.
Archer offers a competitive base salary range of $130,800 to $155,000, with actual compensation determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
